normal things. Conversation being the number one thing I miss, too.
Ron was very funny . I really miss that guy.
I, also, miss the guy who used to do so much around here.
Isn't it interesting how the most mundane things in life are the very things we miss the most ?
I really do understand that. For so long Neal has been my best friend as well as my spouse and we talked for hours about all sorts of things including the kids but just everything. For years we didn't even have a television, just our radio and each other and that was fine wiht both of us.
Now it is so hard to talk to him about things, most of the time I feel like I'm doing a monologue, at least he will still talk about a movie if he likes it and will comment on how nice the weather is. He asks what the kids are doing but rarely ever remembers and will ask over and over the same thing. It is so sad and frustrating and in so many ways it's like being alone even though he is there and that is the part that really makes me angry with this disease...you still have the body but the mind and spirit that you fell in love with and cherished all those years is really not there any more.
