Rollie is still in bed, he has had a few moments of wakefulness but he isn't lucid and his eyes are kind of glazed. His depends are dry. When I try to move him he grimaces in pain but when he is resting he looks calm and peaceful. I don't think he is in pain and I only move him to check his diapers, etc.

My son came by last night and he was upset, he said, "No, it can't be time, just 2 days ago he was walking!" But when he left, after my mom and I talked to him he felt better.

Deb, this would be a good time to call Hospice again. Or ask your Dr. to call them. You need their services... NOW.

Deb,

Ken could walk 3 days ago as well. He cannot today. He is now in be 24/7. He does not eat or drink. Hospice is giving him 3 to 7 days. Sounds like we are going to do this hand in hand little sister.

Stay strong. We can do this together.

Deb, Judy is right get Hospice in to help, it is hard to think that the change can happen so fast.
I wish there was more we could do for you and Dibbie but we can only be there in spirit, this is one walk we all will take by ourselves.

I wish you both peace at this painful time. I know you both have prepared. Just try to remember to find some moments to take care of yourselves. And don't be afraid to ask for help from others.

Good.. good.. good. There is little or no sleep for you these last days so take everything they can do for you. Some days just an hour or two nap can get you over the hump. A hot shower can do wonders, too.

..... nap when you can/or rest...... showers help, a short walk and stretch can help....also I was told to drink a lot of liquids to stay hydrated....and to try to eat for strength.....

........glad there is help for all three of you and your families.....

I can't believe this about Ken!! I'm shocked. Wow. I'm almost in tears too, Glenda. Ken and Rollie, it seems to me, have gone downhill so darn fast. Rollie, I'm aware of because of Deb's posts on Facebook.

Darn I hate this lousy disease that makes me cry for my sisters, that I have never even met.I wish that I could come and do something,anything for each of you.
