We went to the county fair tonight as we do every year at this time but I think that this will be Rollie's last fair. He may or may not be gone next year but I don't think he will go to a fair again. Tonight was tractor pull night which Rollie used to love with a passion. He would hear the sound of those tractors and just get excited and you couldn't tear him away. I mean he could sit for hours watching guys pull weights with their tractors, we used to have to say, "Come on , we want to go home or we want to go on the rides, etc" So tonight I brought him over to the tractor area and he watched one pull but his eyes were not there and he just looked, no enthusiasm at all and so we just went somewhere else. Then as we were leaving some of the loud trucks and tractors were driving in front of us and he actually looked scared at the loud sounds coming from them. That's not my old Rollie. He did know he was at a fair but he thought it was the one of his boyhood town.
