My youngest is home from college and seeing her dad for the first time in a awhile. She has come for short visits and we talk daily so she has known about the changes but she hasn't had to deal with them. She has been having a hard time with his word salad. She told me, "OMG! It drives me nuts! How do you listen to that ALL day long?" LOL I told her I have just learned to tune it out, I just don't listen all the time anymore. I can't. Last night she had to leave the living room for awhile during his chattering session and said, "Let me know when he goes to sleep, I can't listen anymore."
My daughter is really a kind, caring person and loves him very much. I am sharing this because it shows how strong we all are who live with it daily and how we have learned to deal with so much that drive other folks crazy.

My own mental illness was over taking me,I couldn't do it any more.
I applaud the rest of you,who through it all ,stay
But we also are tired, exhausted sleep-interrupted, or deprived, grief stricken, fearful, angry, jealous, sad, horrified, mystified, and just plain fried.
And, it can go so quickly back and forth that we are also very yo-yo like.
I think we are amazing....
