I know it is hard to know what to say or do, but a call or short
visit wouldn't kill any one.
They don't get that it doesn't matter, Neal won't remember what they say but he likes hearing people talk, I think it helps him know he's not alone.
One brother will come and sit with him for an hour or so if I need to go to the grocery store, but seems very anxious to leave as soon as I return, which makes me think he doesn't want to be here at all.
Granddaughter and her boyfriend came on Halloween and he really enjoyed their company even though he doesn't know who they are.
Most people seem to think Alzheimer's is contagious and do not want to be near someone with Alzheimer's
One son is a god-send. Don't know what we would do without him, but the other one seems to want to be far removed from it all.
