I though I posted this but it has disappeared.....

Rollie is getting really physically fidgety and restless, gets up, gets down, wanders around the house aimlessly. Rearranges things, adjusts knic knacs, etc. He is quiet about it. We have actually been a bit more active these days so it doesn't seem like it is boredom. And he is like this at night too. It takes him forever to settle down in bed, adjusts the blankets, sits up lays down, sits up. I almost want to just duct tape him down.

I know this incessant fussing/fidgeting really gets on your nerves.
It has been a while since Ron has done anything like that.. but I well remember those days. I never ever figured out anything to stop it.. so I just let him fuss with stuff. He would arrange a decorative thing
50 times a day.. adjusting.. changing.. changing back. I had some brass do-dads on a table. He would put them in a straight line.. in a circle.. alternate.. relocate. I just gave up and let him mess with them.
I never had any problems with him sleeping. Although, he would get up after I had gone to bed and do stuff. One time he changed his clothes and put on some of mine. It was hilarious.

One thing I do have and am SO graetful for is that when he does go to sleep he stays asleep until at 7, phew. I am able to get a good nights rest most of the time without that problem.

One morning I watched Jim arrange six or eight coasters on a pillow. He worked at it for 30 minutes or longer and finally decided it was right and then walked off and left it.

He isn't talking much anymore and that worries me. Also isn't walking as well as he did a week ago but for the past two nights, he has slept all night and doesn't get up till his caregiver comes and makes him get out of the bed; still won't put his toy away and wets the bed lol

Ken is in the re-doing stage as well. It drives me nuts. I think it is from boredom. Like the others, he is sleeping well and I am so grateful for that.

Mother dusts. She'll take a kleenex and dust anything and everything. It's being fidgety as well and also feeling helpful.

Two hours last night for him to fall asleep and I know he was tired because he was falling asleep on the couch- moved him to the bed and the fidgeting started all over again!

Neal went through that for awhile then his doctor put him on the risperodone because of the aggitation and hallucinations he was having and the fidgeting and paceing in a ritualitic way stopped for a long time.
Now he does not really fidget but he does have days where he seems restless (very unusual as most days he just sits and stares out the window unless the radio is on or he's watching a movie) and those are the days he makes me nuts as he follows me everywhere and when I ask him if there is anything he needs or wants he really doesn't know what to say or why he's there.
