could not stop talking

It is 4 am here and I am awake, my husband finally went to sleep at around 11, still mumbling. I really thought I was going to lose it. I am waiting to see what his doctor responds with. I know that to people who aren't living with it , 'won't stop talking' might seem petty or trivial but when you are already with someone 24/7 and then they start talking and won't shut up and say the same things over and over again it really wears on your psyche.

Hav eyou tried giving him an ipod or something like that with earphones so he can listen to music for a while, if he likes that. maybe he'd stop talking for a while, of course he might start singing which could be worse :}

I know, I know - I hear ya ! We have gone from non-stop chatter to no words at all. I remember days when I wanted to scream SHUT THE H*** UP ! I didn't but sure wanted to.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that your Dr gives him something to settle him down today.

I could see how that would one crazy. Ken is just starting to talk a lot in his sleep , and snore ,OMG he has never snored before but in the last couple of weeks it is like a freight train in the bedroom!. In the past I have had to go get him off of the couch or stool, just lately he has started getting up and wondering. Nothing at night so far except waking up after a couple hours of sleeping. He will get real anxious and want to get out of bed. I had to give him a zanax to calm him down last night. He also is sleeping a lot. Yesterday he slept the entire time we were riding around, he usually loves to go for rides.
So many changes in these late stages.
Hope you get some helpful answers from the doctor.

I hear you. I have actually thought about getting the hammer to stop Ken from talking. The same thing over and over, it is enough to drive you nuts. If the doctor has any suggestions today, I want to know. What about turning on the TV?

Ok, my husband's doctor called me and said any of the drugs he would prescribe have the side effects of possible stroke because of my husband's heart and cholesterol issues and instead of switching and creating more trouble he wants to keep him on the Zyprexxa. I am going to increase him from 5mg to 10 mg and then let him know how things went after a week. Wish me luck, LOL

I know this can drive you crazy; the music idea sounds like a good one

. But I tell you from experience hon, it is much worse when they stop talking altogether. It has been THREE years since I have heard my mother utter a single word. Oh, to hear her say anything, would be the sweetest moment of all..
