I hear a lot and read a lot about ALZ people stop talking and while my husband's talking has slowed down a lot, he still does talk a lot. The thing is, he talks gibberish, word salad, what he says makes no sense. He uses very simple vocabulary and doesn't finish a sentence, uses a lot of hand gestures too. I wonder if this reflects the person he used to be... like do chatter boxes keep chattering while ALZ who used to be more quiet, just get quieter?
She was always a bit on the quiet side,now she talks non stop.I rue the day when she is talking non stop and I won't be able to understand her.
Maybe she'll get quiet again?
All he had left was a half-hearted smile once in a while.

So, I don't know what would have happened if this aspect had progressed "normally". my husband could e a very quiet reflective person but he also had a bit of that Irish gift of gab, so who knows...
it's a very difficult aspect of the disease....(is there an aspect that isn't?)
