I have a very small chapter, how do I turn it in?

Mine will be coming shortly.

I'm trying so hard to write a chapter on the damage this disease does to the family. My father had alzheimer's and it almost destroyed our family. He's been gone for six years and I'm still having trouble putting the painful experiences into words. I thought if I could write about them it might help someone else. Now my Mom has dementia and I am praying like Sherri, God please don't take her all the way on this journey.

I would encourage anyone who is going to write a chapter to simply write what you fee, don't worry about the grammar, being perfect etc. That's what editing is for and I am willing to help anyone with editing. The important thing is to 'get it written'

I am kind of stuck right now on the anger/frustration chapter. Funny how the first six pages just came spilling out onto the paper when my hubby was doing so bad. Now with the new meds and his much improved condition some of the anger and frustration has subsided. I am not trying to fool myself......I know it will come back. I just have to tap into that place and finish off my chapter. Would after the holidays maybe mid January be too late??

No, we are looking towards March for collecting the chapters so relax you have time. LOL

I am having a total BLOCK when it comes to writing things down. I actually don't know where to start.. or where to end. When ever I start a few words - my mind wanders.. I think of 1000 things and an hour has passed and nothing written.

I am going to wait until January to even think anymore about it.
I have my knee procedure tomorrow. I think that is filling up my head right now.

I will get it done... just not yet.

Judy; Concentrate on yourself for a moment and your knee surgery. My sister had it and is so-o-o glad she did. Recoup went well too....prya the same for you dear friend. Let them wait on you a bit:) As for the book ......after the Holidays and when the dust settles a bit more for you I have a feeling yours will be one of the most fascinating and helpful chapters of all. Once the words start they will probably never end. While we are hoping for at least 12 + typed pages , more will be terrific. We are hoping that we all have a submission y the end of March .....but promise not to scold any straglers. Deb has alot of great ideas, and if any of you do too just shout them out...we want this to be a joint effort. I will be sending Update #2 shortly and fill you guys in on where we are and I too will join Deb and help to edit and compile what we have. With the Holidays we don't expect anyone to worry about this. Concentrate on yourselves and your loved ones. Tis the season to e Jolly might be a stretch right now for all of us ....BUT...we can try and enjoy what we can and cherish the good moments, love each other , find quiet moments, listen to music and athe ourselves in the memories of years past.
