Hello everyone I am mad The nursing. home Just called My mom and told her that She has to come get my Grandma That they can't not keep her any longer I was hoping that they would keep her We are not able to care for her My mom told them that and they told her you will just have to do the best. you. can I don't know what were gonna do.

Get your Grandmother qualified for MediCade , then she can live in a Skilled Nursing Home, and Medicade will pick up most of the bill, also your Grandmothers SS will pay for part of it.

If your Grandmother has assets , that are more than 2000, I would suggest seeing an Atty to assist you in a SPEND DOWN program...and get your Grandmother on MediCade ASAP

Why could they not keep her? There has to be a reason- for example, if a resident becomes a harm to other residents a facility cannot keep them.
How have you guys faired the past couple days? Found a place yet or is she still living at home?

We are looking. for a place for her The doctor. at the rehab center said there. is no way that my mom and me can take care of her she needs more. care than my mom and me can give her

i hope you are able to find a place- the rehab and her dr should be able to give you options. Do what you can to help your family, especially your grandmother, through this. Change is hard on everyone.

Thanks Tommrow. they are going to have a meeting. with my mom and dad to figure out where to put my grandma My parents want her to be close so that we can go visit. her
