From what I just experienced with Ken, it will not go on much longer. My love is with you. I know how very difficult this is. In fact, it is just awful.

For some reason I have been at the bedside as death came to 7 siblings, both parents, and my husband of 32 years. Also as a nurse I have sat with several terminal patients, when there were no friends or relatives around at their time of death.
Each individuals death was a little different than the others. It was as if they died in a way consistent with their own personalities. It is very hard to explain with words,it almost has to be witnessed.
You are the only one that knows Rollie inside and out .If he is having difficulty letting go,you may be able to figure out how to help him.My experience is that the terminally ill respond to gentle touch more than anything else.Sometimes they just need permission to go.That usually means reassurance that you will be okay after they are gone.
No 2 deaths are the same.Think of your self as a midwife, at the other end of the life spectrum.Rollie is struggling to be born into his next life. How long the labor last is not as important as knowing what it will produce.
What a loving devoted wife and life partner you are.It will be over soon.Blessings .................Cheryl
Rollie is blessed to have you...... He's going to fight because he has to. Keep your kids close.
Love you
