I know you are totally spent. You wonder how you can go another minute. There are not words to explain this kind of exhaustion. I began to wonder if I might die from it before Ron died. I didn't, and you won't either.
Can someone sit with Rollie while you try to catch a nap? I know that sometimes sleep just not come even when you have the opportunity.
I'm checking DS every hour .. hoping your journey has ended.
And.. I'm saying my prayer right now.
My mom died of congestive heart failure. She was also bed-ridden for about 5 days and in and out of consciousness. She was very ready to go. During one of her lucid moments, she woke and I asked how she was doing. She said Why is it so hard to die? That statement came from a person on deaths door and it was a huge insight into how moving to the other side is a process and requires the perfect timing and the timing is out of our control.
You will get through this, even though it does not seem like it.When you are enduring emotional torture 24 hours a day, and not eating or sleeping it does take it's toll.
I hope that Rollie can soon let go, and enter into his long deserved peace and rest .Bless you and your family for the love and devotion you have shown.................Cheryl
I know where you are....I very much remember the last week and days...and the total exhaustion, feeling like my head was buzzy and fuzzy.......beyond words really the whole entire thing......

prayers for peace....
Bless you, we are here for you.

That was quite a statement from someone who is dying...I agree that it gives great insight to the process of dying. I told someone that a hospice nurse that I know, fully believes that the fretting and thrashing is when the process begins when he is fighting to keep from going to the other side. then we he gets peaceful, the transition has been made.
Hugs,
Carolyn
Just know that I am praying for both you and Rollie and I hope peace comes swiftly for you both.
I recall one of the last things mom told me before passing was "no restitution" I asked her if she meant she had no restitution and she said yes. It was her way of telling me, things have been worked out and it was only a matter of time. At that point I had to tell her it was OK to let go, we would be ok it is time for her to be happy again.
I guess what I mean by that is maybe Rollie is still clearing up what he feels needs to be handled before he goes. I often wonder what the conversations are that they have with a higher power before feeling its ok to leave us.
Much love to you and Dear Rollie, I hope his journey is over soon and peace finds you both. HUGS
