It is really difficult for me to see my husband naked now, (sounds weird, I know) but he is just getting so skinny. He is almost reminding me of those pictures of Holocaust survivors. His skin is actually sagging in some areas and I can almost see his ribs, it is just too, too sad. I hadn't thought of this part of the journey and it disturbs me. I almost feel like I have to be careful hugging him, like he might crack. Of course I hug him a lot, he needs it. I am remembering his round belly with fondness now.

Isn't that ... alarming.. sad.. (searching for the right word).

Ron never had any butt.. but the skin was literally hanging from
his rear end... and his formerly big arms.. were to thin and frail.
It hurt to look at him.

I know. My husband was looking like a holocaust victim as well. What got me were his hip bones. Just awful.

I know and feel just what you mean...my husband is under 128 lbs now and ribs stick out...very thin, he still eats very well, looks ghastly....
It is so difficult to look at them like this.....

My hubby is the same...He was 242 at his heaviest before his open heart surgery. Now he weights about 165 and has lost 3 in. in height. Is very stooped over and very self conscious about his sagging and wrinkled skin. His legs are so skinny and had deep spaces in his collar bone area. The skin on his arms hang as does his butt. He hates that. I used to always tell he he had a nice butt and we would laugh. His backbone also sticks way out and is curved. Hard for him to find a comfortable chair. this disease is so humiliating and degrading for them. Its like we are living with strangers.
