Alopecia areata ("baldness in spots") is a form of hair loss from areas of the body, usually from the scalp. Because it causes bald spots on the head especially in the first stages, it is also called spot baldness. Hair loss can extend to eyebrows, eyelashes and facial and nasal hair and create more bald spots elsewhere in the body.
The problem of hair loss is a situation when one gets more than 100 hair strands while combing or showering. When this situation persisted for more than a month, it is concerning the steps that you need to evaluate and must visit the hair transplant clinic. The causes of hair loss are segmented into two categories, external and internal. The external factor includes a number of associative reasons to cause hair loss that are stress, smoking, unhealthy diet, improper nutrition, lack of exercise or a sedentary lifestyle. As far as the internal factor is concerned, the genetic factor is the prime reason for causing the hair loss problem.
When we talk about the solution, the hair transplant is the only permanent option to treat the baldness. The hair transplant in India is a favourable option among people because of the least cost option and on the other hand, the procedure is performed by the expert Surgeon and Doctor.
In this article, we are explaining the causes of Hair loss are as follows:
1. The Androgenic alopecia: The Androgenic alopecia or genetic baldness is the first and prime cause of hair loss that is accelerated due to the combination of the genes and hormone effect. The DHT-sensitive zone shows the effect of loss and all the body hair, especially the scalp areas got affected except the back and sides of the scalp. This loss is genetic and transferred from either parent. However, both the paternal and maternal sides are responsible for presenting the hair loss that must be considered while planning the restoration treatment.
2. The Alopecia areata: The spot baldness or the alopecia areata is an autoimmune disorder that causes the severe hair loss. The hair loss occurs in the form of the circular patches that spread all over the areas where hair growth is experienced. This disease cannot be treated with the hair transplant unless it is in a primary stage or attained the maturity stage of the problem and no further chance for spot formation. However, it is a condition that needs the medications to treat the problem.
3. Telogen effluvium: This is a scalp disorder that is characterized by severe thinning and loss of hair due to the early entry of hair follicles in the Telogen stage. The causes behind the Telogen effluvium are the severe stress problem that makes the condition for the early entry of hair follicles in the resting phase. It is recommended to go for the scalp biopsy as a pre-procedure consultation that helps in identifying the problem with the best possible treatment.
4. Trichotillomania: It is a psychological disorder, also known as the hair pulling disorder. It is a mental disorder in which the patient tends to pull their own body or scalp hair causes hair loss. This problem is very common with the person who is affected by the OCD or obsessive-compulsive disorder. This can be treated with cognitive behaviour therapy or one can also start the medicines to control the further loss.
The Hair Transplant Procedure:
The hair transplant procedure is the best permanent option to treat the pattern baldness. It has a goal to restore the natural hair that is fulfilled either by the FUT technique or through the FUE. The permanent follicles can only be extracted by the FUT and taken as the best compatible method to treat the pattern baldness. But, it is also a prime consideration in treating the problem that one has to visit the clinic in order to know the status of baldness as well as the donor’s condition to recommend the particular technique to sort out the problem effectively.
So, it is good to get the scalp biopsy to identify the problem and get the effective treatment at the right time with the right course of action.
