I'll start us off, maybe we can all pick up a few tips.
Fresh air spray tend to make me cough, splutter and wheeze , it can be awful, candles are a worry with kids nad pets.
I tried plug-ins but most of those have the same affect. Someone told me Febreeze plug-ins are meant to be easier on asthmatic chests but I wasn't sure about the fragrances so I bought the mist and refresh air freshener to see before I splashed out. the Fresh Cotton and Blossom and Breeze are a whole lot easier to spray around and I think I only had one cough along wit hmy chest infection the day I sprayed round the whole bungalow.
Worth a try anyway, hope it hleps somene...

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
What I do:
1)I have a personal ionizer called my air zone, which I use when I have to be in enclosed spaces like doc surgery, bus, train plain, or even in a smokers house, just to give me some cleaner air space.
2) I change the air in my home everyday open a window for 20 minutes each day just to change the air. This helps prevent bad air. Also you can get the eco Air Free ionizer air purifer for use in the home, runs off mains, is expensive but is very useful especially if you live in high traffic area.
3) For fragrancing I burn essential oils (3-5 drops in water) in a burner, bit difficult with children, alternative could be:
4)you can get something than runs on electric called a vaporizer, I think Boots chemist in UK have one to burn pads infused with eucalyptus oil for when you have cold or stuffy nose and lavender infused pads to help you relax (I think similar to plug ins but with natural essential oils) - I don't like them much for my (emphysema)lungs though but they may be ok for asthma sufferers.
5) Get egyptian cotten sheets or dust mite anti allergy sheets, pillow cases, matress cover etc. A anti dust mite allergy vacuum clean also helpful. Keeping home as free of dust and pollutants as much as possible is a great aid to breathing good and keeping home reasonable fresh.
I hope you may find some of the above useful.... x x xx
