I do have 2 kids, but they're back in school, so I have quite a few hours in the day to fill....and they're getting older and are pretty self sufficient, so I don't have to do everything for them. I'm going back to school, starting next week. I'll be busy as hell when that starts....but I feel ready for that. I don't know where you're at with your illness, so I can't recommend doing something that big.
I'd say to get a whole bunch of things to try. A jigsaw puzzle that you like (you can glue it and frame it after you're done), maybe some puzzle books, model cars?, video games?, journal? I don't know what you're into, so I can't say what might be a good idea...but hopefully this helps.
I would actually appreciate a change of scenery... it would make the stale existence that much more charged up (I still do, since being a stay at home mom can cause some cabin fever at times). I move the furniture around (even if it's not as functional as it once was, I mean who's going to visit to notice?). I also enjoy painting and sketching (I'd pull up interesting nature scenes or animals on line and sketch them).... Good books I'm sure can be found online (as it reading a book off of your computer) or if you have a lot of room on your computer you can download a program that can record the audio off of you computer (download books on tape, or search songs on youtube and record the audio so you can have a playlist going).
I know my suggestions probably encourage you to stay indoors more so, just trying to think of things you can do since you feel more comfortable inside atm.
Hehehe fyi your post wasn't boring
((hugs)) hope you find something worthy of your time.
