Was going through the site I posted and watched a bit on DUI What it costs.

Thankfully for me It didn't cost my life or the life of someone else but other than the material losses there were a lot of emotional cost to family and others..

I had 7 DUI's and once I sat down with a counsellor and worked out with the cost of my alcohol what I drank all the alcohol related court costs medical bills over 22 years I could have brought 2 400,000 dollar homes amazing that's just material costs.

My daughter smashed her car a few years ago while drinking ran of the road hit a tree, a branch came up through her car just missing her I thank God she wasn't killed but that one episode cost her her licence her insurance would not pay for car repairs because she was drinking a brand new car wrote of and 25,000 dollars in det. she was 18 y/o and is still paying it of.

The costs are unbelievable.

Yes Lionel, in Australian slang I would say "I've pissed away a few houses". They say that AA is the most exclusive and expensive clubs in the world. And of course the expenses go way beyond money.

And if anyone has gotten to the pint where they need AA, they have well and truly paid their dues.

Now they were the words I was looking for "pissed away " because that's basically true. And yes there is a lot of blood, sweat, and tears and money involved in belonging to AA again as you said ."AA is the most exclusive and expensive clubs in the world. "
