Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
just out of intrest do you have an addiction problem or do you just really really like yoga and think it will help people to overcome their addictions?
is this how you got clean and sober, I suspect it isn't. sorry if i've misinterpreted your post maybe it was just put up to use with other things?
I cant imagine anyone would be so irresponsible as to suggest someone with a crack habit or who is dying from alcoholism should just turn up at their local yoga class!
Please see video, its all there ( the information)

Living life on God's terms and working on this stuff has major rewards.
One day I might figure out more as I grow, but today, I'm keeping it simple! I gotta! lol

Mycool, clean 23 years, sober 81 daze. Attend AA f2f, online, therapy, spiritual practice, whatever it takes me to remain sober, my greatest gift to myself.
the Buddha (just a man like you and me, unless you're a women) urged people not to blindly follow traditions, opinions, speculation, or the authority of religious texts but to see and know for ourselves what was Trueand, when we do, to take it up. He also urged us to see and know for ourselves what is harmful and divisive --and to give that up. The emphasis is always on seeing and knowing, not on thinking, calculating, and believing.
I go to a yoga class almost every day and it has been wonderful to relax and meditate. It is a huge help for me in not drinking. I often used to drink because of anxiety and being able to do yoga instead really helps get rid of the anxiety.
namaste! :)
My friend & I signed up for a yoga class about 3 years ago...
So our first class, we leave work, stop by her house to change clothes right? We simply must have a cocktail before our class. So we have one, take a 2nd with us. Couldn't wait for the class to be over so we could go have more cocktails.
Did this 2 or 3 times, met at her house with the intentions of going to our yoga class, then said screw it and just had the cocktails! Sad sad! :)
