Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I own a home business. I have to have my job to pay my bills. A few months ago I started sweating at night and during the day, soaking thru my clothes and not tolerating heat. My blood pressure rose into the 190/124. I went in and got on blood pressure medicine and it is now around 160s/100. I have been drinking heavily for 12 years now and drinking about half a bottle of vodka a night for a couple of years. I didn't have a drink last night and only had one the night before. I just realized that I am going thru severe withdrawals. I am having severe anxiety and agitation. My blood pressure and pulse are racing and I am having palpitations. I cannot drink during the day and have no insurance. I am panicking that I have just realized this and I cant believe I didn't realize that is was withdrawal before.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

If that is not an option, try going for a walk. Take deep breaths. Take a hot shower. Occupy your mind with something. Call a friend.
Just don't take a drink because you want to avoid withdrawal. Or it starts all over again . . .
I would consult with your doctor and let them know this so they can monitor you. You could also get some blood tests while you're there and see how your liver and other organs are.
Drink LOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTS of water----fresh icy cold was my savior when I was withdrawing.
The same thing happened to me -- night sweats and heat intolerance. For me, it was probably menopause, made 1000x worse by heavy drinking. Even with medication, my BP was way too high.
Were you consciously trying to stop drinking?
I hope you feel better soon, and yes, please don't turn to the bottle to ease your symptoms. It will just kickstart the cycle.
Best case of course is what everyone is saying...get to a Dr....actually everyone is supposed to have mandatory coverage per the president...so you get fined by the IRS if you don't have it.....if you don't have it...you should look into getting state coverage..I know someone who has no income, no job...but has full health coverage for FREE because they qualify for the Obama care.
If you live in the USA and cannot afford insurance then you can get free medical care. Every hospital is subsidized by the government and they must provide medical care for the uninsured. You just need to call the business office at the hospital you go to and ask them to send you an application for patient assistance.
This is just a suggestion, unless you have a death wish, I would say screw the job because I won't be alive to do it anymore anyway and get some medical attention ASAP!
I will pray for you!
God Bless!
Anyway, they registered me as uninsured and treated me. Later, they sent me a form to complete and I had to submit a copy of my tax return. I got a substantially reduced bill and if you simply can't pay, they end up writing it off.
Just get help! PLEASE!! Worry about the money later.
