Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Why not get into some kind of support group NOW, because you are doing absolutely wonderful. But I believe you will need other mental support to not go back to that obsession.
After four days, like I said, probably not going to happen. But the mental obsession and the tricks alcohol plays on the mind will happen, guaranteed.
For me personally - no withdrawal outside fatigue and mood swings.
The mood swings got worse for a few weeks then settled down.
Early sobriety though- was rough mentally.
Sometimes it still is which is why I love aa, the other sobers women, sober friendships, a home group, etc etc
Welcome. The worst of withdrawal probably is behind you, but keep an eye on it, especially if those headaches and fatigue persists. In any case if you haven't had a recent complete physical it wouldn't hurt to have one now.
Either cutting back or complete abstinence are valid goals. As a suggestion perhaps you might want to abstain from alcohol for a period of time, say 30 days and re-evaluate your drinking from there.
There are many resources and options out there for help dealing with alcohol use disorder.
