Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I have struggled many years. Just don't give up trying..even if you fail...don't let it win...its sucks..I know.
Are you in AA? Have other support? The feelings in early sobriety take a while to level out, at least they did for me. I was so grateful for the support of the women in AA. I am today too as I definetly I wouldn't have made it without them.
I got sober at a early age and hung around sober people who offered tons of ideas, approaches and solutions to my aloofness.
A frenzied recovery mode can create a moood that counteracts the frenzy with a sense of believing you know something now or are empowered.
False pretenses and believing you know something can be very narcissistic and sneaky I THink!.
Keep it simple!!

Whatever I do, don't say F it, U already have in 3 days.
Don't give in or you will have to start all over. It will be never ending and the torture will never stop. Say hello to your life without alcohol, it is possible and it is all up to U.
There is a saying called Restless, irritable and discontented that is used to describe how some people feel after they stop drinking as you have now done. Many of these people find that staying sober is a hard struggle and they are engaged in a constant battle against the urge to drink. All sorts of activities will be tried in order to keep the mind off the thought of drinking and this approach may or may not work. The more time that passes since the last drink the easier it gets to stay sober. However, many of those who do manage to achieve a long period of sobriety find that they are not happy with life and that they still struggle against the urge to drink. Some will successfully use their willpower and stay sober and for others a day will come when life issues look too difficult and they will drink again.
There is an alternative approach to sobriety, one that removes the struggle and leads to a life of peace and serenity. This approach involves a process of change in the way of thinking so that alcohol is no longer an issue. Such a solution would be useless if it did not suggest a method of dealing with the issue of living, with all of its high and low points so it provides a toolkit for living.
You are now at a crossroads and you have an important decision to make. You can continue on the path you are now travelling and hope that your struggle with alcohol will become easier. By putting more and more sober days under your belt you will probably find that it does indeed get easier and it may be that you will solve the drinking problem in this way.
The other path leads to a different approach and it offers you great possibilities. Not only can the urge to drink be removed but you can also learn new ways of dealing with people, places and things so that you will react sanely in the good days and the bad days. It also allows you to learn about how you can make the most of life and to use your talents to the maximum without fear of failure. In short, the only limit to what you can achieve with this approach is what you are prepared to put into it. This radical change in thinking does not come about naturally and therefore it needs work and guidance. There are probably many places where you will find such guidance and one such place is Alcoholics Anonymous.
You are standing at the crossroads choose your path wisely and you will find the light.
Find other ppl that have been right where you are and they want to help you. in a strange way it helps them to help you. Go get help and get thru this tough time and start to live!
