Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Can it be defined?
Is it to find the meaning of life?
Is it to find your self?
Is it to get rid of the Self itself?
Is it to become a better person?
Is it to become a greater person?
Is it to become enlightened?
Is it to become at all?
Maybe the Autobiography in Five Chapters from The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying can shed some light on spiritual growth:
1) I walk down the street
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I fall in.
I am lost I am hopeless.
It isn't my fault.
It takes forever to find a way out.
2) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I pretend I don't see it.
I fall in again.
I can't believe I'm in the same place again.
But it isnt my fault.
It still takes long time to get out.
3) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.
I see it is there.
I still fall in it's a habit
My eyes are open
I know where I am
It is my fault.
I get out immediately.
4) I walk down the same street.
There is a deep hole in the sidewalk
I walk around it.
5) I walk down another street.
Is it to find the meaning of life?
Is it to find your self?
Is it to get rid of the Self itself?
Is it to become a better person?

Is it to become enlightened?
Is it to become at all?

I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident. I learned that the song won an award and was featured in an indie movie called Once. I just watched it, and it's really good. They made it in 3 weeks on a $100,000 budget. It's streaming on...

They just opened a new round a bout on my street but there are no streetlights. So at night- everyone drives over the curbs.
Striving to be Christ-like.

Spiritual growth for me is working on achieving eternal life in heaven - this mortal life is a stepping stone.
