Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
I am grateful for:

3. my parents are alive
4. prayer
5. firm bowel movements
i had a sponsor onceb back in the day,and when the topic was gratefulness he always talked about being able to take a solid crap and how exciting it was.lol
im grateful for the health i have
some family and friends
the internet and this site
the ability to still laugh @ myself.
When we loose God it is not God who is lost.
I am grateful to be able to give, because all my life I took.
Its in giving we receive.
I am grateful for a world of colour rather than one that is black and grey.
Recovery has coloured in my world.
I am grateful for Bill .W and Doctor Bob for giving AA a beginning and a place that has helped me fit into this world.
As a family man I am grateful my family is still with me today and that I have been given the chance to see my children grow and to have children of there own. That is a true miracle after all I put them though.
I am grateful for the freedom of bondage from self.
I am grateful for all of you here on DS.
I could full a book of the things I am grateful for which is a big difference from someone who hated the world and every one in it.

I am grateful for my God that has enabled me to do so.
I am grateful that a year after I quit drinking, I started my own business which I've had for 14 years now.
I am grateful that after 12 years of being sober while my husband wouldn't quit, I was able to afford to leave him and his selfishness behind.
I am grateful that I "rent" a beautiful duplex with a wonderful landlord. (Yes, would rather own but I'll be grateful for that when the day comes.:)

3. I stopped drinking before I got a DWI.
4. I am not sleepy all the time.
5. I can think clearly
6. I am going to Disneyland with Emily and Tiffany.
7. My liver is not liverwurst.
8. My wife loves me
9. I can walk a straight line and recite the alphabet
