After reading Ramblin's "Horrible Bosses" post and replying, I thought maybe we could have a regular Friday post - our weekend plans.

I notice a frequent topic here - what do you do sober? how do you have fun sober? is the life after sobriety?

Well, I say "hell yeah!" Tonight I will be going to a meeting, then to the meetin after the meetin for burgers and a shake at Dairy Queen (I live in small town Texas). Saturday I'm gonna go to Austin to visit my kids. DD has to work, so DS and I will go to the movies then meet DD for lunch, then shopping for me. Sunday, church and relaxation, maybe working in the rose garden. Oh yeah, hubby and I are dog-sitting 2 poodles this coming week. That will be lots of fun with our Rottie and hounddog.

A couple of 1 year anniversaries/birthdays to attend tomorrow and the beach on Sunday (weather permitting). Laundry and errands thrown in there somewhere!! lol

Nice idea Scarlet....tonight, not too much is going on. It's been a long week. This weekend I will go on a day trip with my dog..it's been a regular thing lately...hiking...trying to find a place that has a lake or at least water he can wade in to cool off afterwords. Been hitting a meeting a day too...so that's a given. Other than that, some errands....and hitting the gym per usual. Such an exciting life I lead...hehe. Better than being knee deep in booze though. ( : Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Going to make my kids dinner, go for a swim with them, then a long walk with a friend. Tomorrow my favorite 8 a.m. meeting, take the kids shopping at the farmers market, out to lunch, maybe a movie....
Sunday a bday party, a great meeting, etc. I love weekends:)

I am going to go to a meeting in the morning I have never been to (I NEED a meeting haha) and then tomorrow night meeting my parents and we are off to our first ever barn dance (in a 14th century barn! Wow!).

Sunday...going on a 9.5 mile walk with a new social group I have joined so shall see how that goes.

Yep, the world ain't gonna come to me on my couch so I need to get out there :)

You've got a rose garden? I'm jealous. I love roses. The ones in the florists just don't have the scent of the ones I pass in someones garden. Beautiful. In the middle of our weekend down under. Already taken a trip to Canberra and back where I dropped daughter and friends off. They're heading up to Thredbo for some snowboarding so I'm getting some me time in. Catching a flick tonight and right now, a bit of housework and filing for tax. It's blowing a gale outside and the suns shining so it's perfect to wash and dry the winter underlays. The dog'll get a bath (shh, don't say that word) as well, and I'll get on the Treadly for a jog whilst the footy's on. Okay, better get cracking. avagoodweekend!!

Meeting, meeting, meeting, study, study, study, cookout, take my dog for a walk, watch a game on the boob tube, proally hit the bookstore, bike ride(depending on weather)

I feel like I've been worked over by a bunch of bikers, lol. I'm nursing a respiratory infection. I did get a gift from my twin in the mail today. Some darling black strappy sandals with 2 inch stilletto heels. That made me feel much better, lol! At least for a minute.

I don't know what to do with my roses right now Scarlet. I can't even remember the last MONTH when it was under 100 degrees during the days. My babies are getting burned up! Let me know how it goes with yours.

As for tomorrow. I'll plan Saturday's adventures when tomorrow gets here. I don't have any pressing engagements (that I know of!). Enjoy your weekend!

My weekend got off to a great start with an AA connection - I went to the wedding of a dear friend in the fellowship yesterday - the wine and champagne was flowing, but not for us! Glad I don't have that temptation these days and so was bride. The happiness was far more real without the alcohol.

Later this morning, six of us are sailing to the Isle of Man for the Southern 100 motorcycle racing. We are renting a farmhouse for a week, it's something we do every year. Looking forward to it immensely!

You caught me on an exciting weekend but even when I have nothing planned, every sober day is a gift.

I will be listening to one of my sponsees' Step 5. It is such a privilege to be able to be of service to her and other women in the fellowship.

I am preaching on Sunday morning so I wll have to work hard when I get home from the Step 5 thing to prepare for the service on Sunday.

Sunday afternoon? Probably sit with nicky18022002 and catch up on our TV programmes that we have recorded! I will almost certainly fall asleep!

Well, Saturday morning came and there was a knock at my door. It was our son and daughter in law!! Yippee! My shopping buddy. Off we went to the mall while the fellas stayed home and watched baseball.

We weren't expecting them until next week end but they blew in from Brownwood early! Made a pan of lasagna per their request. After we all ate, it was time for them to drive back home. Now I'm relaxing with Hal in our jammies watching HBO. Turned out to be a busy weekend but a blessed one!
