Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Today at a yoga class the instructor asked us to take what she described as a very vulnerable position. She said "It is in our vulnerability that we gain the most strength".
I wanted to share this because I felt so vulnerable joining the support group, describing my problem, and wondering what feedback I would receive. It was pretty scary.
Yet, this process allowed me the strength I needed to stay sober. The support I received, the suggestions that were offered, and the gentle confrontation that yes I am an alcoholic all helped give me the strength.
So to all of you, thanks .. for treating my vulnerability with kindness and offering me strength.

I accidentally deleted a journal entry that I wish I hadn't. Is there any way to get it back?

I am in a position of being vulnerable outside of alcohol and coping with it sober has helped me to achieve that strength, patience and grace.
