My Dad was Army. He served in Vietnam. Can't tell you anything more specific than that. Thank you for your service. Remember, some people didn't have a choice but they did what they were called to do. That was my Dad. Me, I was have been pathetic in the military. I'm in very good shape but what are they going to do with an opera singer, really:) Anyhow, my gratitude to you, My Dad, my Grandfathers who served in WWII and Korea and everyone else.

My grandfather was killed in WWII. My dad was 2yrs old at the time and has always had that tender spot inside because he never knew his father. I always call my father in love and respect for this on Memorial day. Thank you all service man & women. My US flag will always fly high celebrating you and the freedoms you provide to all of us.

I believe my dad was dishonorably discharged and if I had to guess, it was alcohol related. Though I'm 38, he was born in 1919 and was in WW2 briefly. My foster dad was Army and was in Vietnam. I do honor those who served our country.

U.S.A.F. E-3 1976-1980

U.S. Army Combat Medic 1988-1991

I was US Navy, Aviation Boatswain's Mate, Meaning I worked on an aircraft carrier, on the flight deck also did a tour of duty in adak,alaska, as a airport firefighter, my alcoholism really took off at that time. I just about have my head decapitated cause I didn't pay attention, but I survived, lmao. 1979-1982

The day I was born my dad, a Staff Sargent in the U.S. Marines was stationed on an aircraft carrier off the Korean coast. He was part of a special platoon sent in to rescue downed pilots. THANKS DAD and all the rest of you who's courage overwhelms me. You don't want to hear about my time in.

the roommate served in 'nam, my dad was a "saving private ryan" omaha beach ww11 guy, my mum a british war bride, and (though i didn't serve) i was a volunteer flight attendant during the gulf war and got a rather nice letter from norman shwartzkopf.
