Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Since I have really started vigorously using steps 10 and 11 as per the Big Book every morning, during the day and every evening, my life has become much more managable, less stressful and way more useful to others. I really start to feel genuinely happy and contented when I have the right attitude and ask for the right thought or action. It is true when the book states ' it works. it really does'.
I am proof of that. I was a selfish, angry insane active alcoholic with no consideration for anyone or anything. Constantly fighting with the world and myself, denying God, denying others of their opinions and denying myself freedom from bondage of my sick thinking. My only thoughts were of drink and the getting the money that enabled me.
Now my life centres around others, especially my wife. I try to help others every day, paricularly alcoholics.I have to give others the right to be wrong, even when I know I am right, being happy is way better than being right. I had to give up my old ideas, and get free from my own thinking, I had to. God gave me the help I needed to do that, because I could not do it by myself. I wish every one who is starting out on the AA program the very best, abandon yourself to Him, clean up the wreckage of the past and work with others, you surely cannot fail using these morals. God bless.

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

I hear that in AA a lot, it is more important to be considerate than to be "right", and I still fight that. Step 10 is great because it prevents us from further harm, both creating it and experiencing it from others, and Step is 11 is awesome too because it allows us communication with God every day.
Very happy to hear you are having a successful experience in sobriety.
