Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Some people just won't accept the life-saving help that is freely offered.
Allowing some elses illness to have an effect on you, is not healthy neither. Open your eyes, step back, and reflect all shall be revealed. Any promotion of silencing a persons voice on DS is not healthy. We are at different stages, some are lost and dont now where to start, but they are trying. They try the best why they can, just like I did when I was drinking. Help could have been physically drilled into my head, but I would find away to discard it. Help has no use or worth if it does not have a willing recipient. We should promote healing, positiveness, sobriety, recovery and most of all a friendly and safe place, for all.
We are not perfect, but are willing to change and understand 24hrs a day.
So many times I begged and pleaded to God for help. Funny thing was it was right there under my nose all along. All I had to do was open my eyes and accept it.
Since then, I when things get bad, I don't beg for help, instead I started changing my pleas to "please help me see what you are offering".
I really like this, very simple yet powerful. I can see I have been asking God to do all of the work instead of asking for his guidance. Thanks for the insight!!!!
Help from God is alwaysthere, you have to make up your mind and RIDE ON FAITH - Faith is something you feel, nothing you can see, hold onto, drink or use - therefore it has to come from within.
To me God is the 1st step to help and the lifetime and eternity for help but for those non believers they still get slapped in the face with help and turn it down.
It's all about accepting the help of anykindthat is offered and so many choose not too -
