Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

According to U, you drinks 5-9 drinks a night for the past 3-4 years and your husband does not think it's a big deal? ...'ok'...
That amount of alcohol takes a big toll on your mind and body, especially your liver.
Today is the start to a new life. Keep letting everyone here know how your doing, we are all here to help each other...
This site is very helpful IMO...
You are very welcome to the forum and I wish you well on your journey to sobriety.
Best!

Well done on day two. Drinking can result in a lot of buried emotions and you are probably letting those feelings out now through crying which can be a therapeutic thing to do.
Just be careful about setting a 30 day goal for a couple of reasons. The first one is that when you get to thirty days you may feel like celebrating your achievement with a drink. The other reason is that if for some reason you dont make the thirty days you may feel that you have failed. Many people set a goal of not drinking today and that can make it a lot easier. The days soon add up and before you realize it you will be well past your 30 days.
I was reluctant to give myself a 30 day goal. i think i'll just do one day at a time and then week by week. I feel like i don't have a secret to hide anymore. it really feels so good, its unbelievable. im so happy, yet really really so scared. i feel like im gonna be out somewhere and have an anxiety attack. yesterday was easier than today but im not giving up! I will do this!
keep up the good work.
and ignore the rest. Since my religion, Buddhism, doesn't have a god,I ignore the god stuff.
You have the power to stop. Call Up the power in you and use it.
