Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Life’s tough but it is what we make of it ...... the easy way for us alcoholics to get through these times is to take the plug out of the jug and stumble through relishing the fuzziness and haze of drink.
I’m watching my husband deteriorate daily and it breaks my heart to see him struggling with the simplest of tasks. It would be so easy to hide my fear behind the bottle in order to numb the pain of watching the light go from his eyes.
I don’t consider myself a strong person - yet others “congratulate” my strength ...... if only they knew. It’s so easy to hide behind a huge smile and a proud chest...... my daily motto “tits and teeth”!!
The smile to hide the pain and chest proud of not giving into the booze through a really shitty time.
When things get tough it’s remembering that drink isn’t going to make those things any less tough - yes it will relax our inhibitions and stop us from worrying briefly - but the hell we’re going through is still going to be there in the morning, the fear is still going to be there in the morning and so is the reality of life. So, is picking up the bottle the right answer???
Today, my answer is no! I’m going to lift my chest, put a smile on my face and fight another day.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

I learned early to act less like an Oak and more like a Willow.
The wind will blow and today I just sway some, it’s easier
Do also take some time to share these inner bundled up feelings with someone you trust. Don’t stuff the feelings too much ok?
Sway in the breeze little willow
