Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Its powerful....once I'm in it...its extremely difficult to get out of it.
Once I'm out of it...and can be extremely difficult to stay out of it.
I know the hopelessness you are feeling. My benders go on for months....and my health and happiness deteriorate making it even HARDER to stop.
Make a plan...and try to stop...taper?
A couple of junes ago I started out here and then on a sunday after a prodigious bender, where i almost burned down the house with my family inside, on accident, I ( and I still dont know how i gathered the courage ) went to an 8 pm meeting.
My last drink was June 9 12
I am a very strong willed and minded person, Problem is that I had a real problem asking for help. I would rather have died than ask for help. But the issue is that i needed help, alot.
By asking for Help I began the process of recovery.
I started going to meetings daily and was able to put enough room between me an booze to make a disconnect. Its like the death star in Star Wars. If you can get far enough away the tractor beam of Alcoholism has less pull.
The pull never seems to totally go away , but today I work on a few things and I can mitigate it.
Get your as to a meeting and unless your as falls off go to one daily. If your as falls off... pick it up and take it to a meeting.
