Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Went for a walk with the wife today and we picked bottles and cans (Times are rough)
Saw alot of jim Bean empties and I remembered how great they tasted and how good they made me feel back in the day. Although they never cured my problems, they sure made them easier to live with!
I need to get to a meeting. Does anyone want to give me a ride?

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Well, Bob, you never know who threw those bottles away and what kind of horrors they are living. Good to not have to go there anymore. :-)
Hugs!
My last drink was a tall glass of ice about 2/3rds full of Jim Beam and then a splash of Coke (diet of coarse) for a mixer.
I dumped it down the sink, opened the bottle and poured the remains down too.
"That's the last drink." And it was.
Get to that meeting and have a pleasant, sober, weekend.
The pleasure of my last drink was interupted by a cop, I can just vaguely remember. He asked me how much I had to drink and I told him just a little bit out of a bottle and he said how little and I put my hands close together and gradually went farthur apart and the cop said, "oic, the bottle kept getting bigger and bigger!" (My wife told me all of this at a much later date)
That was the same day I went into detox and the nice police officer got me admitted.
That was the beginning of my sobriety. which was over 3 years ago. (I have since had some food that was cooked in wine at the Olive Garden, does that count?)
I love all you guys!
