Feeling very grateful for this group today.  I found strength and guidance here when I decided to quit drinking, support and nonjudgment when I failed, and open arms when I finally committed to breaking the chains of addiction and needed help.  AA and the 12 steps ultimately provided a program to help me do what I couldn't do on my own, but this group gave me 24/7 access to those who knew my suffering, shame, and understood my hope and desire for a new way of living.  


I'm so very thankful for my DS family and welcome, with others here, our new members who are also seeking less pain and more contentment in their lives.  


This is what we do, we help one another.

This is so nice Kevin. I love the losing the chains of addiction thought. It was really horrible. Coming up on three years yet I would be so comfortable asking this group for support if I slipped. That says a lot. Thanks for your caring

I am thankful for each and every member of this group! I have seen days, in the past, when I was the only one supplying answers to suffering drunks!

Needless to say, they didn't hang around for very long. With all you guys, there is a collage of possibilities and potential which new members get to pick from.

There is strength in numbers, folks!

I am so thankful that I get to be with my furbaby Ruby in her remaining days sober, making it all about her, instead of me - being able to make rational, thoughtful decisions with a clear mind and a grateful heart.

Kevin, remember me? Older guy in/out of the rooms for over 30 years - 3rd DUI resulting in treatment court? I've stayed sober thr0ugh the pandemic and the riots and the elections - a lot of it of course because if i didn't stay sober i'd go to jail...well...i've made it 10 1/2 months - day after day - meeting after meeting == got a new sponsor who's 20 years younger than me with almost 20 years sobriety and full of energy - he can be a bit annoying but yet - i'm still here and still sober - i'm so grateful that you have reignited this group!

Today I am grateful that I went through the loss of my furbabies sober and get to feel my feelings with a clear head, and for the first time in my life, didn't use alcohol to numb everything out - as hard as it is, am so thankful to go through the grief process completely alcohol free and know that I have healthy coping strategies & know that I can overcome those hard days all on my own. Would never have been able to do this without this group & AA- so grateful that I can face my fears and be okay xxx

I am thankful for all of you all, and my AA meetings in Australia. I am also thankful I will wake up tomorrow feeling great!

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
