Hi Everyone --

I haven't been on the boards much recently as I've been busy and away from my PC at night.

I'm still on the wagon after my 3/21 relapse so today is 11 days plus the 53 I had before 3/21 so 64 out of 65!

I'm looking forward to the new month as I went all of February without a drink and I of course want to go all of April without one too!

A relapse is just a bump in the road, on our way to abstinence. I too look at my days of sobriety as an achievement To stay positive is the best medicine..

Thanks everyone for your support. Given that my longest streak had been 12 days and then a lot of one or two days I was feeling great about 50+.

But when I relapsed I was really scared about an extended relapse and so having continued to be successful after that one bad night I am confident I can go another 50 plus days and that confidence is a very important part of staying sober.

I'm sorry you suffered the relapse, but thank goodness it wasn't extended and that you got back on track quickly. I know if I relapse it will be very extended, so I'm focusing as hard as possible to stay the course. Keep it up - we all love success stories!

Fantastic, Rich! I've seen a lot of people slip and figure that since they are back at Day One they might as well keep drinking. I like your approach -- you made a mistake, and instead of letting it pull you back into drinking hell, you learned from it and kept on going.

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

     I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...
