Yep good reminder. I have just put people who I react badly to on "ignore." That way I don't mess with my own serenity.

What I find interesting is when I read multiple posts from the same person that I feel that way about. Lots of emotions:

Hopefulness -- waiting for them to just go away and find something else to do

Aggravation -- seeing another post from that person that is just as irritating

Disbelief -- rolling your eyes in response to a post that is both absolutely bananas and grandiose all at once

Serenity -- using the ignore button

Apathy? Meh, I don't know, I guess.

Nothin like a room full of alcoholics debating on the time of day

It just dawned on me ,Its a soap opera here , human being's trying to make sense out of all this non-sense.

I have someone to talk about this with So I feel its more like discovering new parts of how I am perceiving other folks. .

So in not responding I am not playing a role I'm practicing The act of loving kindness it spreads from me Out .

My take on your question. Its like Today's reality show's "here". Oh and I'm the pivot man as in Basketball if I believe the play is valid .

In anyway shape or form . My take to reply and move on ,No discussion for Me!!

Realities are all different there are no same places , I'm only in process of seeing my mistaken or correct observations .

For me, it is about growth. It is knowing that my response will only cause me heartache. It is about questioning my intention as to why I want to post. Is it for ego or is it HP led? Is it about being right or is it about being helpful?

Invariably it is not for the right reasons and that is why I very rarely post here anymore. I read a hell of a lot more than I post. I see it going on and just smile and move on. That way, I grow and stay sober :)

If all else fails I ask myself one question, do I want what that person has got?

Oh, and I NEVER watch posts anymore...used to do that alot when I first came here and would get HUGE resentments. I just remembered that one as I saw the 'watch post' button after I did my post ;)

For me it is growth. It is so interesting to look back on what I was first like when i came here and how much I have changed. Have learned a lot about not having to respond, about not having to change other people's minds, about how to respond, and how to deal with other people.

Don't get me wrong I still make mistakes, get involved in things I would be better off leaving alone, say things I would be better not saying but on the whole it is a huge amount better.

I still have to work on the fact that I love a good debate and I have to see when that is appropriate and when it is not.

And an amazing thing is that I have never once had to put anyone on Ignore since i joined on 31 Dec 2007.

Geez how I can relate for me it goes back to when someone pisses me off what there saying I have to ask myself why usually its me not being balance. Try this sometime ask yourself when you read a post that pisses ya off and think back when that same person wrote practically the same thing and didn't bother you. Reality is it comes back to us and where we are at not them.
