Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Today, my sister and her husband ( also recovering) invited my wife and I to go to Cranberry Lake ( an adirondack lake bordering thousands of acres of wild forest. )
Before we were on the water half an hour I noticed that a "deadhead" was curiuosly moving. It was a swimming deer, something we know they do but seldom see , especially in a situation where it wasn't being pushed ( like hunting season) .
Next, they showed us a n Osprey nest, complete with mamma Osprey standing gaurd!
While looking for a place to wet a fishing line in a cove an eagle passed over head not 50 feet up.
This in addition to the usual Kingfishers, geese and ducks and even the skyrats ( gulls) seemed magestic today!
We stopped at an unused camp site to cook lunch and inspected a tree that had recently been hit by lightning.
We had good conversation, the weather was OK and we had a Pontoon boat so we were able to move around at will. We cruised the lake at slow speeds I would of scoffed at in my younger days, but enjoy now.
By the time we were done I didn't know there was such a thing as tension in the world!

Unfortunately, my family refuses to take me out on a pontoon boat anymore cause I spend the entire time in my own little zone & singing this....hee hee....
