And yes, there is something wrong with being a convicted felon, if there wasn't it wouldn't inspire some of them to sober up, right?

Michael Vick did his time. Paid for his crime. Got rather a stiff sentence as far as I'm concerned. My dad is 82 years old, so he gets a little confused sometimes -- he told me the football player - I can't remember from what team (my luck it was the Browns) that killed someone while driving drunk got 27 days in jail a bunch of community service and will never get a license again. Like I said - take that info for what it's worth - but if this is true - I'm appalled!

I agree Vick appears to have paid a fair, although I would not say harsh debt. I just can't believe he gets 1.6 million off the damn bat.

That sickens me that he's getting off with just that. I bet the family of the deceased isn't too happy with it either.

The family of the deceased and undoubtedly a few lawyers are getting money.
Perhaps the problem with DWI is that we only really go off on the results, accident, injury, death not the original crime itself.

Jan- I know it's small concellation but he was also suspended for the season and they supposedly are going to release him after the suspension to try and get the bonus they paid him back. He is now considered damaged goods from a PR standpoint for other teams to pick him up and he can forget about any endorsement deals.

But if he can't do endorsements Rick, how will those poor lawyers get paid??

I thought he was doing endorsements for Petsmart.
