Hi following is a follow up letter I have sent to DS in the matter of the need for more CL's in this site.

Hi some time ago I wrote to you in regards to the need for more CL's on the alcoholism site and to date I have not received a reply. Below is a link to the letter I posted on this matter in the site so others were aware of what I was doing. From the responses you will see that many there are concerned that there is only one CL and the unfair expectations placed on him.

I would appreciate if you could send me some feed back on what is happening in regards to appointment more CL's as I know there are many on the site that are prepared to take this role on.

In fairness to the other members of the group I am also placing a copy of this letter on the site so as others are aware of these discussions.

GB last week I was informed the process has been started . It was in another, more volatile group and that we would be next. The process is tedious as they review each applicant and look at their history of participation. Things aren't so bad lately. It's happening

the need for more cl's will just be a diservice to this board, we don't need more cheifs, so I don't think it is a good idea at all, if you go that route the best thing would be not to have any cl's to begin with. YOu get a bunch of drunks with the power to delete people's post's this place will go down the tubes quick.But that is just my opinion.

My understanding is that it is so there can be a group decision on whether an offensive post should be closed to new replies rather than 1 person making the call.

Also, Nodp can't be logged in here 24/7 and if someone posts something telling another member to f*** off and die, there are more people that can do something about it quickly before it gets out of hand.

I have seen someone tell another member that they should kill their self....also vulgar name calling. If there's more than one chief, the chances of it being dealt with in a timely manner are greater than if there is just one person.

I don't think the intention is to have 25 people with the responsibilities of a CL, but more than 1 seems to be necessary.

Just my opinion. :)

I am thinking they need to compensate nodp. There are so many gosh darn advertisements here. Give him something for his efforts! I know I know, keeps ya sober to help, but time is money people. They make a good penny with their advertisments. They should compensate nodp in atleast a small way-like free coupons or something!!!

Kidding, no compensate with a little $$$. I mean, it is a job, right? I think it should be divided up amongst the top dogs and the underdog here....
