Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
In the meantime, here is a link to the Big Book. I don't know if you have one but the information in that book gave me all I needed to get to a place where I gained long term, happy sobriety, with the help of my sponsor who had walked the same path.
The reason I am putting it here is because your profile says you sometimes attend AA meetings.
AA meetings are good, but they will not keep you - or make you - sober. The Big Book is the basic text that contains specific instructions on how to recover with the 12 Step programme.
Reading it may be useful to you while you wait for rehab. My best wishes to you.

Keep coming back here and posting. You can do this. You never have to drink again.
xo
Prayers to you.
I tried to quit by myself many times, unsuccessful. Eventually, I got so fed up with myself and being scared of what happened or what could happen, I decided to quit, for all the good things I still have in my life. I'm on this site and online meetings everyday, many times a day.
I'm on day 3, and had an awful crying, breakdown alone in my bathroom. But I didn't give it, I didn't drink, and it passed.. for now.
This disease can throw whatever it wants at me. I refuse to buy or drink anything. I'm on the road to sobriety. I have the choice.
Good Luck and don't be scared.
I have been sober for quite a while and I love the life that I have, which is very different from how I felt at the end of my drinking.
PM me if I can be of any other help.
