Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Just want to say a MASSIVE well done to all you pals out there who do not drink, or have stopped drinking. I think you are amazing to have gone through so much "hell" and stopped drinking.

Some years later I still do and I've had many amazing encounters with other alcoholics, like the man whose son died in a motorcycle accident yet at a meeting soon after he was concerned about how I was doing. I can draw on many such human touches if I start to feel a bit sorry for myself or whatever.
My recovery was very hard work at first but then it became a pleasure, I never lose sight of who and what I am, I am at peace and treasure my gift of sobriety. I pray the same for you!

A sober life is for the strong...including those who don't have a problem, but especially for those who do.
...A few years into the future, your will be sober and reading a post just like the one I just read right now.
