I just wanted to share this with people out there that wonder about sobriety, because before i sobered up i know i always wondered what life would be like without drinking. I admit it was the hardest thing(and still is) to decide that i was done with that kind of life. But the rewards are make it all worthwhile. With sobriety i have achieved a bit of serenity in my soul. This may not sound like much, but anyone who knows what i mean knows how incredibly powerful this is. To be able to just feel incredibly free,thankful, peaceful, and able to enjoy life. It's so incredible. It only happens once in a while, because i still stay inside my head too much, but when i let go;and let god i feel so wonderful. And this is coming from a young mother of four young children, low income, not yet educated,depressed from a very young age, from a VERY dysfuctional childhood ... the list can go on and on but what i'm trying to say is that regardless of my life before sobriety, i have achieved this incredible new way of life and it is just getting better and better. So many things, people, and situations are working for me now.I am so confident that all my dreams and aspirations will come true. I actually now have real relationships with people in my life. And i am blessed.I have a new relationship with myself. And most importantly i have a relationship with the god of my understanding. And he is helping me. This works. I am living proof!! Anyways, i just wanted to put this out there because i just feel so grateful for all the good things that are happening to me... so thank you people. Thank you Bill W... a.a has saved my life, and my childrens life as well! I am so loving life right now :)
