Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Not being there emotionally for my sister because I was too drunk.
Pooping myself at work (day after)
Bruises
Never sleeping through the night (having to pee or poop out the poison then lying awake too warm with head pounding)
Burning my hands because I was cooking drunk.
Going into a crying jag in public.
Acting out at a friends Birthday dinner because I had too much
Arguing with my hubby because I was cranky when sobering up
Going to my son's School open house drunk
Driving home, thinking I was fine, but ending up at my old apartment and realizing I was on drunk auto-pilot
Going out pre-drunk and being "Done" way too early in the evening.
Getting nothing done because drinking came first.
I could add to this list. I just needed the visual reminder.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

These ones stand out in my mind but I am sure I could add alot more to my own list. The thing to remember is that these are things that occured in the past which is no longer a part of reality, only the present and the future is important because, just think, we have a chance to re write a better script for the rest of our life! We can make a better, happier, movie and throw away the old dvd of our drinking days!
People won't recognize the new you, but they will love you a thousand times more!
God Bless!
Having your family say "guess you were really tired last night since you completely passed out."
Skipping the kids' various functions because you'd rather be drinking.
I don't miss the constant worry of do I have enough, when will I get my next drink, the merry go round of drink, remorse, guilt, shame, drink, guilt, remorse, drink...
So the question is how are you planning on getting better?

Somehow I was always hurting and sabatoging myself. It was like I needed to be punished. Such weird memories but damn booze was always setting me up and knocking me down. F that
