Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

So I just wanted to share a quote from the book, "As Bill sees it" Page 285
It would be egotistical and extremely narrow minded to claim that there is only one way to accomplish this business of living life day by day. One all true religious tradition, one recovery program, one political viewpoint, one fitness regimen, one ultimate diet, one path to spirituality… ego, ego, ego.
Those of us who are in AA have been told that love and tolerance are to be our code. That tolerance shouldn’t stop at the door of a meeting, but should extend into every facet of life. Tolerance for our fellows who pray and meditate in their own way, practice their faith as they see fit, vote according to their experience and conscious.
Tribalism seems stronger today than ever in our world. Those who act and believe differently from us need not be our enemy. We can learn from one another and appreciate the diversity in our world rather than wish that we stepped out into a reality where everyone thought and acted as we believe they should. When I take my daily inventory, I see how often I fail and how frequently I fall short. I have more than enough work on my side of the street to keep me busy for as long as God sees fit to keep me alive. Spending time walking over to my neighbor’s yard to tell them how I think they should maintain their property only means that I am neglecting my own.
God Bless

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Fear and our habitat of snap judgment is a huge hurdle to get past.
The self inventory is ongoing with me yet I am not critical like I was early on in my sobriety. I don’t think picking on ourselves with falling short or the idea of failing is healthy. That is perpetuating the judgment philosophy.
So maybe this part of the book is a little outdated.
The living day by day can’t include seeing our failures as such. Just lessons that can influence a growing intension to change from patterns that don’t serve us anymore.
Stepping past your ego to see the real picture is amazing (and liberating)
Shiney....you have grown much....I am so proud of you!
