I feel so let down, by those around me. I'm constantantly in conflict. And I WANT TO GIVE, but a part of me still want to be tough, which is what Boleon is always on here saying. When do you just give up?
SOMETIMES I AM weak , and sometomes I need shoulder. Is that O.K.?
Unfortunately - the winners at that meeting were a bunch of of token-collectors who still had the power to choose to stay sober one-day-at-a-time like the dry-drunks do.
I wasted 2 years in AA trying to learn to be as diligent as those "hard drinkers" were. I eventually learned to identify with the "real alcoholic" on page 24 and that is when I realized the 10th step promise.
Diligence had nothing to do with it.
