Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

I went to spend some time with a friend yesterday and we ended up helping someone else move some furniture. When we were fun, he offered me a beer. I thought about it, but I declined. And then I went home and spent the evening watching Game of Thrones with my girlfriend - she fell behind and she's trying to get caught up.
Things are going well. All the big things that were stressing her out so much have been resolved.
There's just one thing, and I'm not sure how to react to it. She may have had a miscarriage. If she did, it was very early because she hadn't even suspected a pregnancy. She's not sure if that's what it was or not. She says she feels a little sad about the possible loss of a life, but she's not really upset because it's not like she had time to get attached or excited about a baby or anything. That might be true. But, on the other hand, I know she tries to be tough all the time and she's really good about hiding her pain or not showing that she's upset. I don't know if I should just take the cue from her and act normal or what. I don't want to be insensitive or anything. I know she's not going to get mad and yell at me about caring - she's not the type to play those stupid games. But, if she is hurting, I want to be there for her.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

As for the gf and the maybe or what if? Just be there and offer support. She will know if it was or wasn't. Just be an ear and a good listener. My wife had a miscarriage and it took years to really pass. It's just something that takes time.

When communication starts breaking down is when stuff happens. That's what happened in my own marriage,
God Bless
We've talked about a baby at some point, but we're not ready yet and she's still on the pill. She thinks it could be a miscarriage or just weirdness due to all the stress she's been dealing with.
I considered taking the beer. I looked at it and thought, "It's just one beer. What would it hurt?" Then I thought about my girls and decided it just wasn't worth risking losing them. So I declined and went home.
