Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
my husband and I tried for a long time to get pregnant with no success. My husband and I needed to go through IVF to become pregnant. My husband was drinking a lot all of the time and was very ugly to me when doing so. He cheated, verbally abused me, and destroyed property while drunk. I couldn't stand it but I still stayed. I decided we needed to hold off on having a baby until we got him help. We got married almost 2 years ago after dating for 5 years. Why would I do that..I have no idea. I guess I saw improvement and I thought things were getting better. Two months after our marriage, my husband got his second DWI. I thought it changed him. He was so remorseful and wouldn't even touch alcohol. He was a new, better person. This past October, I decided we could go ahead and have a baby since he had shown so much improvement. Our first round of IVF worked. Up until two weeks ago, things were perfect...but I see the start of his drinking again. We were driving home when I stopped at a gas station to fill up. My husband and his brother (who is a severe alcoholic who has lost his entire family, life, job, etc to alcoholism) went inside and came out with a 6 pack. I tried not to freak out but when they both cracked open a beer in the vehicle while I was driving, I lost it. How would that look if I got pulled over. I work in a school and I can't afford to have anything on my record..not only that but I don't want to be pregnant and in jail for having an open container in my vehicle: my Husband did not care about the risks. I stopped again for more gas (we were on a long trip), he stopped and got more. I began to cry but he didn't care. They asked me to stop for more beer and I said "no". We got home and the brothers girlfriend was waiting there with a 30 pack for the two of them. I stormed inside. He didn't care. He got plastered..I confronted him about my contractions (caused by the stress) and he told me to go "fuck myself". I was so hurt...he put his fingers in my face and told me over and over to "go fuck your self". I cried and cried. I don't know what to do. I want to leave but it's just not that easy

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

It will not be easy for you to leave but it may be your best option. Can your family or friends help you out? Staying in such an environment is not good for your baby or for yourself.
Your husband may or may not be an alcoholic as there is a difference between alcoholism and heavy drinking but either way, he seems to be a nasty person when he drinks. Maybe you can convince him to get help with addressing his anger issues and there could be hope for a future together but it doesn’t look promising. Maybe he is immature and scared about being a father but that does not give him the right to abuse you.
The other possibility is that he should be the one to move out, either voluntarily or under a court order.
I really believe that you deserve better. You sound like an honest, hard working woman who many sober men would love to love and love to have a child with!
If you're interested, Alanon is a great place to find more support. You can google meetings in your area.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers
