Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Hello my DS friends,
An update on my punishment for OVI in Ohio.
1. Report to justice center 8:00AM 4/26/15
2. Had to pre-purchase shirts, socks and underwear.
3. Bring 40.00 money order for credit while incarcerated (for essentials)
4. Told to bring comfortable shoes
5. Have to wear prison stripes as facility is lock down (min-security)
6. Counseling begins at 7:00AM til 4:00PM
7. Told food is not good
8. no exercise facility (that really sucks for me)
9. Books supplied by institution.
10.Television allowed at certain times
11. Activity Center? No idea
12. Release on 5/6/2015 at 7:00AM
I have already paid in full all of my fees and fines. I have not told my employer yet because I'm scared (I already missed 4 weeks).
I have a lot of things that I am worried about. My house is for sale, I have a dog I'll need to board, I'll probably loose my job, I'm afraid nobody will hire me because of the background check, I have no idea what this place is like. My head is just spinning badly. To add to this, the company I work for is really slow and may shut down. To quote uncle Rico "Hey Kip, ever figure out how to go back in time"?
I just hope I can make it through this and still be employable. The serenity prayer has taken over my entire vocabulary. Somebody please make me laugh!
Peace all

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

"I was tired one night and I went to the bar to have a few drinks. The bartender asked me,"wha'll you have?" I said, Surprise me." He showed me a n@ked picture of my wife.

all right.. there's your laugh, now back to serious.. stand back and look at all you have accomplished 5 pounds from your boxing weight you said (you may already be there) 70+ days no beer\alcohol!!! so ya, go back in time and look at what you have accomplished since then.
Things happen for a reason, and things always work out. When we look back we see why our path went the way it did.
I do feel bad for you, because from what I see you have learned your lesson. So jail really wont be a reason why you cleaned up. I hope things go well for you when you do have to talk to your employer. Keep us posted and try to be strong through this. And stay positive through all this.
I know it's scary and just overall sucks. I know this is little consolation, but try to think of this as a brand new beginning. A fresh start.

We will all keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless!
