Positiv out of a negative!

One of my many triggers was focusing on all the negative things in my life. My sponser was reall good and changing my focus and showing me the positive.

For example, I have no job, but my bils always seem to get paid! I have no health insurance, but I am in excellant health. My house needs work, but at least I have a roof over my head! The list goes on and on.

Maybe you can think of some of your own and figure out the positives with the help of us here. It's up to you.

That's exactly what i do, i can't and don't stay down for long, if i look and i don't have to look very hard, i can find way more positives in my life than i can negatives!

My positive today is I won't go buy a bottle of wine but dig in my heels and deal with the troubles I'm currently dealing with. That makes me feel positive:)

yep, I am just starting to do that and it's amazing how every negative has a positive...so much better to focus on the positive (eesh - where have I been all my life...lol)

Example: I got busted at work drinking, rolled my car, and lost my job. Nothing positive about that, huh? I beg to differ...

My boss took me to an AA meeting after I was exposed and insisted I try to get into treatment. Rolling my car removed all doubt that I was out of control and needed help. Plus I couldn't afford the payment anymore anyway. Insurance totaled it and I had enough $ leftover to buy another w/o payments. Once I lost my job I had the time and was poor enough to get financial assistance for treatment and so I went. I now have one month + 6 days sober. Isn't that just a damn happy story....life is good.

Gratitude. I am always grateful even when life is hard because I am alive or because I have had a life. Such a life. A life full of rich experiences. And we are all here living together, all of life, going through the ups and downs, the hardships and the easy times. I am born in the USA. My life could have been so much harder. Lots to be grateful for I find. Lots to be miserable about too, because I have love in my heart and that can be painful, but I can cry today, appreciate that love, and move on. We all have misfortune. All of life deals with it. We don't go through life alone. And we won't be the only ones that die either. That comforts me. I'm a professional dweller, and today I chose to dwell the positive. Thanks for being there.

you know i am so bad at looking at the negative and even though i have alot to be grateful for when my head is in that space i have little gratitude and i am just self seeking! but when i go to a meeting and listen to someone share or a reading everything gets put into perspective and i start to feel connected and more grateful.
