Do you recognize the Cardinal and why that cartoon was so controversial in its day? The Cardinal is Francis Spellman of New York and the rifle is his support for the war in Vietnam.

Guess I should explain. I watched the evening news and the violence between two sects of the same religion in Syria kind of set me off. The leaders use religion and nationism to mobilize the masses to do there bidding in their wars of profit.
How can killing in the name of God be such an easy sale top so many?

We were never in dager of speaking Japanesse, it's just propaganda. WW 2 was fought and won in the old style of killing the shit out of civillians until the military surrenders, including vaporizing children.
