Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
Your wife is creating, along with God...your child. You both should be together on it.
If you keep drinking after she has asked you not..........not a good omen for your marriage and tons of fights.
A "Normie" would do it with no problem because they were supporting their life mate
Ball in your court
I drank but didn't know better, actually I drank very little I smoked Pot and got fat and healthy for baby
I am wrong your talking about Lent....sry I respect you but don't care

But a good subject none the less
thx and others will help about the Lent thing, I am sure
There's a pregnant lady at my meetings..so I guess for an alcoholic, it's pretty rough quitting even during pregnancy. Very cool though that she's still there 8 months pregnant though.
Good topic and something I haven't even thought of really...

I have a 6 month old baby and I drank whilst pregnant but like one glass a wine with food and not every day. Jeez how I wish I could drink like that normally! There was just something inside me (literally!) that stopped me from drinking any more. I looked great. I felt great.
But life ain't fair, men can't have babies, and once you're had the baby the problems are still there anyway (I thought I was recovered! WRONG!) If you're wife is a drinker, why not ask that you BOTH go for 9 months sober now. THat might stop her congratulaying herself on a sober pregnancy ;-)
I quit drinking for all three of my pregnancies. It was the only time I quit with very little effort. It seemed easy to me; but here I am with only 7 days of sobriety, and I find it much harder than when I quit 5 years ago while pregnant. I really wish my husband had quit along with me - I hated the smell on his breath while I was pregnant and I didn't feel like he was supporting me or the baby, but he did the best he could. He did cut down a lot, which helped.
Think if it this way, what if she needs a ride to the hospital? Are you going to drive your pregnant wife after drinking, or will you call a taxi?
best wishes,
Kath
